Elkhorn Creek Prediction is Live

Flood prediction for Elkhorn Creek has gone live. After working with the National Weather Service, Kentucky Division of Water and the US Geological Survey, predictions will be forecast on the Elkhorn Creek Peaks Mill gauge beginning today.

The Office of Emergency Management provided historical data on roadways and other areas prone to flooding at certain creek depths. This information was compiled and used to offer predictions similar to the Kentucky River Lock 4 gauge.

These predictions will offer residents that live and travel in the area of Elkhorn Creek another tool to make critical decisions during an emergency.
